About This Workshop
How
do be true to ourselves while being in connection?
In this daylong workshop,
we will specifically focus on mindfulness applied
to relationship. We will explore how the ways we
show up in relationship reveal unconscious patterns
through which we see the world, illuminating the
confines in which we live our lives and the possibilities
beyond these confines.
The workshop will draw upon an
array of Hakomi methods allowing us to experience
where we stop ourselves — where our fear holds
us back from letting life move through us — and
where we can move further into connection.
This workshop serves
as an introduction to the Hakomi Method of Experiential
Psychotherapy and will include an
experiential overview as well as include skills
and theory that are unique to Hakomi.
About Hakomi
The Hakomi Method of Experiential Psychotherapy is
an elegant, comprehensive and highly effective approach
to human change. Hakomi combines mindfulness,
the body, and present experience to access and transform
deeply held, life-limiting core beliefs. For over
30 years Hakomi has pioneered and integrated the
use of mindfulness in the psychodynamic process.
It is backed by thousands of hours of clinical applications
and research into the neurological underpinnings
of mindfulness.
Hakomi can be successfully applied throughout a wide
range of therapeutic applications (such as individual,
couples and family therapy, group work) as well
as in educational settings to facilitate self-exploration
and personal growth.
